Baghdad, April 2003. Saddam Hussein’s regime has been toppled, much to Azad’s joy. He and his Kurdish and Iraqi expatriated friends have gathered at Azad’s home in Germany to watch the events on TV and celebrate. But as a stream of very happy faces is shown on screen, long-buried secrets come out in the open during the night and the party suddenly turns into a violent settling of scores.
