30 years ago the Soviet Union collapsed. An entire society and its citizens were dragged into social chaos when the social paradigms they all believed in felt apart.

What happens when an entire system crumbles, when a state can no longer support financially and administratively its institutions, services and territory? How does one nation rebuilt itself?

Through the personal stories of seven eyewitnesses, we’ll try to better understand what is considered as one of the main turning point in recent history.
